Default 87 vs 93 Tune

Im getting a wait4me tune and still cant decide if I should get the 87 or 93 tune. Gas prices will only go up again once summer comes and not sure what to do and what the gains and what not would be by staying at 87. Any help please, Thanks

It comes down to how much fuel you use. I went for the high octane tune from PCM4Less. It runs almost the same on 89 as it does on 93, but doesn't run well at all on 87.

The way I looked at it is that it will cost me $0.20 to $0.30 (depending on the station) more per gallon of fuel to run 93 vs 87. I usually use around ~13 gallons a week depending on a host of things which is an additional $2.60 to $3.90 per week. I stopped picking up a cup of coffee at the gas station every morning and am now saving over $5 a week.

I'm sorry, but some sacrifices are just not worth it.

Thats a very good point! Theres times I fill up once a week and theres time Im always driveing and filling up midweek. I really want to go with the 93 but if its $0.50 more a gallon and its 15 gallons then thats $7.50 and thats another 2 gallons of regular. Ahhhh im so confused!

Now let me ask this, Since I have a spare pcm im sending it in to possibly get tuned on 93. Now lets just say I cant afford to run the 93 anymore and need to drop back down to 87 can I just swap back in my stock pcm and have no problems?
