98 to 99+ Power Heated Mirror Swap
I just swapped my 98 Power, Heated Mirror with a 99+ power, heated mirror. Not knowing much about electrical wiring I was surprised at how easy it was, the wires are very similar just with different connecters. So I cut the connecter of the old mirror and soldered the New mirrors wires to the old connecter. I then connected it and tested it out and everything works perfectly. The problem is that now when I put the key in the ignition (without turning the ignition to on) the beeping sound (like the seatbelt warning sound) comes on, like its telling me i have something disconnected, yet everything on the mirror is connected and works properly. Does anybody know what the problem is, Thank you.
EDIT: Never mind, I finally realized that because I didn't have the door panel on, the door pin that detects if the door is closed or not wasn't getting tripped because the door panel is what pushes the door pin in.

Sorry man I got it all put back together yesterday so I don't remember the colors. But if you have a 98 like me, look closely at the connecters the 98's have the the wires labeled like
A|B|C|D
E|F|G|H
and the new 99+ connecters have the wires labeled like
A|B|C|D|E
F|G|H|
I only had 5 wires A,C,D,E,H All I had to do is connect A to A, C to C, D to D, E to E, and H to H
Hope this helps
