Just today my Blazer started giving me trouble when I try to start it. This morning it started fine, but later on in the day, I tried to start it up again and it went crazy. It sounded like the battery was dead - clicking, trying but not quite able to turn over, all the lights on the dash come on, and here's the weird part.. it pops open the rear gate. Luckily, it only took me two or three tries and the engine turned over and I got it home. It runs fine once started.
I was wondering if anyone heard of a problem like this or has any suggestions on what it could be. Thanks a lot.

I'm afraid I don't have any concrete input other than it sounds like the opening scene to another bad Paris Hilton horror film....maybe the ignition switch or the Body Control Module? When it finally started and you drove away did you look in the rearview? Maybe Freddie or Jason was just about to pull open that rear gate. Good Luck, I'm sure someone else on here will be be able to give you some help.
