My 98 Blazer's front suspension was damaged from hitting a guard rail on the right front. My friends advise not driving it far, so I either drive it somewhere near Roxborough PA to get it repaired, or junk it. It has about 185K miles on it, a cracked windshield. I think repairs will cost more than it's worth. If so, does $320 sound like the right salvage value for a 98 Blazer and my best option?

 

List it on craigslist for 500.. see if you have any biters.

 

If it has decent tires and a good condition interior I'd think you could shoot for $500 like Rich said. There should be enough salvagable parts to make it worth while for someone if the damage isn't too extensive.

 

In SoCA the salvage is worth much more but so is every thing else.

 

Thanks everyone for the feedback. My truck was parked on the street in a distant neighborhood and I panicked for fear of it being impounded. $320/free towing was best offer. A shame to find out they just crush it.
