I for like any of you with your good mileage! Even before I started modding my truck I was getting around 14-15 tops and that was with a full tune up and diving like a human being lol!

I certainly don't granny drive it, but I'm not hitting the redline either. On the highway I average around 75mph, and I do have a bit of a heavy foot starting out. I tried granny driving for a couple weeks, dropping my cruising speed to 65, and being very gentle starting out and I only increased my MPG from 19mpg to 19.3 mpg. That tells me that my slightly agressive driving is ok.

My 5.7L Hemi Durango on the other hand comes equiped with the sound of oil executives giggling every time you mash the skinny pedal.

I would never sell my blazer! Just wondering how to get better mileage! I only have 51,000 miles on it... It's all up to shape no issues with it.. Love it

Hey guy, I had the same problem up til about a week ago. And I was on here or another site and found some really good advice and it's all free jus do it yourself. First off take out the MAF sensor and remove tht honeycomb screen being careful tht u DO NOT hurt the actual sensors in the middle of the housing prolly b best to take housing apart an remove screen then. But tht will off the gate increase air flow into throttle body, especially if u have a k&n like I have. Then remove center duct work sitting on top of throttle body then remove butterfly plate out of throttle body and then cut off the baffle on under side of plate but jus cut it off wit hack saw don't drill it out like sum dumb asses do, tht will create too many holes in plate tht are not supposed to b there. Before putting back in clean throttle body really good inside an out like the linkages and such. But yea I went from roughly 13mpg to 21mpg after doing this. So it does work and gives ur ride a kick *** throttle response.
