Today I met up with local Blazer Forum-er, Ugly_Monkey. He linked up with me to pass off some info and materials to get me up to snuff on my pathetic heat shield attempt. After biting back snickers on my failed DIY job, U_M gave me some insider info and materials, geting me on track to actually build the shield of my dreams (at a budget that pwns K&Ns price).
Anywho, for those of you who secretly dream of meeting local Forumer's let me tell you they are not all internet stalkers, and Ford Explorer owners. Some are cool guys the genuinely want to see you not make a fool of yourself across the inter-webs.

I haven't been forced to make the trip yet in my defense. I have been able to handle my most recent issues without assistance. Worry not though I am sure I will make the trip sooner or later.
