Blazer got hit

Sense she ran she has to pay my deductible, which works out pretty good. I got my claim number and im taking it to the chevy dealer tmmr to get another estimate and then there sending it to my insurance company, and then theyll decide if its totaled or not. Everyone said its right on the line of being totaled and could go either way. I was a dumbass yesterday and opened the damaged door and now it wont close, so i have it all bungie corded. The blazers looking pretty ghetto right now haha.
and 4x4blazerguy, I have no idea why theres so many foreigners in michigan. Especially chaldeans. Is it like that in AZ to? and btw, michigans No fault insurance blows

chevy dealer is keeping it till monday. they gotta put it on a hoist and check the frame and rear axle and see what the specs are on it. The guy said he couldnt even tell me his gut feeling on if it would be totaled or not. He said hes seen cars way worse that they decided to fix, and he said hes seen cars with way less damage that they decided to total. If they dont total it im gonna be pretty pissed and ill deffinantely sell it right after. She used to be my pride and joy but now shell never be the same again. at least not to me. all thanks to some arrogant, ignorant foreign bitch that should get deported and hop back on her camel

Man I kinda know what youre going through, some dude ran the red light and I actually tboned him (I tought he was going to stop which he did, and at tha last second he pulled out) Took out all my fron end, and the fan was maybe the worst in the mechanical side of it. It was "totaled" but for some reason they gave almost all i paid for it ($6000) and held back the salvage title, so it was good and got almost all. Ended up only spending like $2000 fix it. (doesnt look good cuz a friend of mine fixed it for me) but yea that might happen to you so dont right away take a decision wheigh them out. It took me a day to make a decision after they called me to claim it salvage. But like I said, they held it back without telling me. So just ask them and pay close attention to what they say. Good luck man

Well im extremely pissed. got a call back from the chevy dealer. Let me start off by saying the guy on the phone was a complete dick. They accused me of bending the rim, and they said my tires had low tread so I have to pay $90 for the tire that got popped and insurance wont cover it. Also accused me of breaking the headlight assembly so they wont fix that either. There not totaling it, they said it was about $200 away from being totaled. Complete BS. He also said the only new part ill be getting is a door, the rest there just going to bend back. Im extremely pissed cause the rocker and quarter panel are in terrible shape but the guy said they can fix it all and it doesnt need to be replaced. He quoted me $3500 and its gonna take 3 weeks to fix. So insurance is covering the $3500, but the dealer said that the tire, rim, and headlight assembly have to come out of my pocket. And, the bitch that hit me doesnt have insurance, so she doesnt have to pay my deductible. So basically I got completely screwed over, and the blazers gonna look like ****. When I go to pick it up im gonna tell them im not happy with it and my insurance isnt gonna pay for the ****ty work there about to do. I will NEVER go back to this dealership for anything. Im really pissed off and dont even want the blazer back to be honest. There also refusing to believe that the accident made my abs light come on, so the WSS has to come out of my pocket also. What can I do to fight this? Its taking everything in me to not cuss out the manager at this dealership. I dont even want them to touch my truck after all this bull****. So basically its gonna cost me close to a grand out of my pocket to get my truck back to how it was. I dont see how thats right. What do I do from here?

Get a lawyer.. Thats all complete BS what they are doing. So get a lawyer and complain that your neck is starting to hurt and you will be golden.
Same sort of thing happened to my mom (3 times actually) insurance fought everything each accident (i swear her car had a magnet in the trunk..) so she got a lawyer and it worked greatly to her favor in the end.

I second the lawyer! What insurance company do you have? I have geico and I can take my vehicle anywhere I want to have the repairs done. They will actually just cut the check to me personally and then I can choose if I even want to have the vehicle repaired or not. And then I just pay the body shop with the check money I got from Geico. I would definatley not be letting the stealership do the work its rediculous that they are saying those things and stupid of them they are just losing money that way. To save yourself some money tell them not to fix the things they are trying to make you pay for out of pocket and just take care of them on the cheap when you get the truck back. I know the laws are different in every state but here if someone hits you and runs they can be charged with a felony and the minumumn is a misdemeanor hit and run charge. If you have any info on the woman you can still sue her in small claims court for the damages plus inconvience fees to you even if she doesn't have insurance.
Edit: The other piece of advice I can give is don't take possesion of the vehicle from the dealership until you have spent a ton of time looking it over and over and over for any imperfections. If you see anything you don't like no matter how small it is refuse it and make them fix it till you are satisfied. They have to fix it to your standards and if they don't or refuse to tell your insurance company and they can battle it out. A good insurance company will go to bat for you to make you happy an ensure the repairs are done properly. I know the body shop I have used a couple times for my wifes car when its been hit has a lifetime garauntee on any work they do.

well a little bit of good news. Got a call from the police station and they said they talked to the girl that hit me and she admitted to fleeing the scene, and the cameras showed it was her fault, and shes agreeing to pay for my deductible before this has to be taken any further. The only reason I took it to the dealer is because I assumed they would fix it the best and do the best work, and use all OEM parts. I told them to forget about the headlight and rim. My tire they are only charging me $39 for, and its a $150 tire, so its not that bad i guess. I ended up buying a stock rim in great condition off my friend for $10 so that also worked out good. My parents also feel bad for me about all of this so they are paying to get my hood fixed that I messed up awhile ago, and that will run about $300. When I get the truck back I am going to inspect it VERY closely and if theres anything I dont like im gonna refuse to have my insurance pay for it.(I have AAA by the way) And when I get it back im going to buy a pair of smoked out headlight assemblies. So overall I guess its not that bad, as long as they do a good job on the repairs. ill keep everyone posted on what happens
