Glad you got it figured out! Always nice to see a follow up with the solution too.

Looking back, it appears that we had two separate issues contributing to the low pedal. I think there was air in the modulator pump unit that we purged with the auto-bleeding procedure. But at the same time, we had installed the new front calipers that turned out to be the second part of the problem, so we still had the low pedal. All is well now.

Glad you figured it out.
The one thing about ABS is how hard it is to bleed and get all the bubbles out.

I have just had fun bleeding one of ours one we bought as an mot fail with no back brakes and no fluid in the rear circuit.

replaced all pipes from the front wheel along the chassis rail and rear axle and new delco remanufactured rear calipers. I just could not get fluid at the back whatever I tried.

in the end I put the front up on ramps, took the rear wheel off and let the rear corner down so that the hub was almost on the floor. opened the joint at the end of the long pipe and put a hand vacuum pump on it. after several minutes I managed to get some fluid through but it stopped coming through once I took the vacuum off.

then I stamped on the brakes a few times and eventually fluid dripped from the end of the pipe. joined it back up and opened the joints where the pipe narrows and splits across the axle, once they were dripping I tightened them, bleed screws were still open and shortly fluid was dripping from them too

I assume there was just too much of the system with air in it. having one of those pressure systems might have helped.

still now the car stops well, done a few emergency stops as a road test so will give it another good bleed tomorrow front and rear.

we ran into a goofy issue years ago on a 95 yukon. ended up replacing everything and still a spongy pedal but pinch off the front lines and it was solid so you would think it was the calipers. nope actually had bad brake pads they compressed like rubber when applying the brakes, was the strangest thing i ever seen. replaced the pads and that fixed it
