Brake pedal hard to push down

the power brakes are these trucks are powered by a vacuum booster (big round ball behind the master cylinder) it either blew out or the vacuum line going to it broke. pull the big rubber line off the vacuum booster with the truck running and see if it has vacuum if it does then the booster is probably bad
