Default burn't alive and deserve it !

I think you all have experienced it, I got a chip in my $9000.00 new , well 1/2 year new paint work. And to make it worse, I did it myself. It's been hot as H*&L and I kept putting off putting on the "Chip Guards" on the door edges. The only saving grace is I got the chip just above the door handle.

I brought it home and did a satisfying chip repair, then once dried installed the chip guards. I went out of my way and got bright red for the red center section, but it on the cut two exact size 3" sections for above door handle and a 5" sections fro below the red section.

I really love this truck. I've spared nothing on the restoring project. This is the oldest K5 I think done on this scale, the only thing I haven't changed is the carpet. But even though It hurts, it is a truck. It's going to get a more chips it's a drive, it only goes to sleep is for the salt season. PennDot loves to put down 'Brine" salt water, then salt nuggets, and if it lasts longer enough, they bring out the salt rocks. It's not uncommon for people to have to replace upper and lower A arms whole exhaust systems and so on. I just am not waiting for the 'salt rocks to turn into salt dust. Where ever it goes, your gonna have rust the next year. Car makers just put more plastic on the lower sections of their vehicles !
