buyin new rims, need advice
im looking at buying a 15 x 8 with 4.5" bs. how much wider of a stance will i get like this? if normal bs is 6" then with the 4.5 i should stick out an 1.5" on each wheel right? but will it stick out any farther with an 8" rim?
Stock rim width is 7" with 6" back spacing as you said. So backspacing alone you will gain 1.5" per side. Then with the additional rim width, you will gain another inch (because backspacing references the back surface of the rim). So you will be sitting at 2.5" wider per side or 5" overall width increase.
Be careful though. Pushing things out this much can cause interference with the fender/firewall.

update: 30x10.50r15 interco super swamper radial on 15x7 rim with 4.5" backspacing works absolutely fine on a stock non lifted 95 blazer 4x4. i even drove it up a car ramp to test my articulation! no rubbing what so ever! now i just gotta get the other 3! lol. thanks everyone for there help!
I have black rimsbut they werenot my first choice. I special ordered my wheels in order to get the backspacing that I wanted and thats all I could find at the time for a decent price.
For 4x4 s-10 Blazers you need to be VERY Carefull... as I have just found out... about your backspacing.
my 2006.. while having a BEAUTIFUL Stance with a 2x2 lift... now is having an issue or 2 with the 4inch backspaced wheels.
used to be that when I turned I rubbed the swaybar and frame. Now when I turn, I Rub on the outside... meaning the fenders.
so this weekend its going to be me, a cutoff saw and some hammer-time.
take into consideration tire size, design, width and lift before running out and grabbing those cool-a$$ Mickey Thompsons
