Default Car Gauge Pro Inop On Android 10

Just upgraded to a new phone running Android 10. Car Gauge Pro wouldn't even start up. I found solution was to use Car Diagnostic Pro instead. Same software, different look. I bought it again for another $8.99. Didn't try to get freebie, but you might be able to. This time it does have user instructions built in.

* Moved to 'General Chat'. It's a phone/app issue, not a 2nd Gen issue. *

Sorry, I figured since this software is used to diagnose second gen Blazers - then Second Gen General Tech was where it fit the best.

I've always been a Torque app guy. Has never given me any issues other then being laggy on old devices, but what else do you expect lol.

I even use it on the Android double din in my Blazer

Yeah, Torque Pro is a very nice, slick app. Unfortunately it won't read Cam Sensor Retard. Car Gauge Pro and Car Diagnostic Pro have the advantage of reading/clearing codes for HVAC, ABS, SIR, etc on the Blazers - but unfortunately neither seems to have enhanced PIDs working for 1996/1997 Blazers or anything GM past 2007. Dash Command does them all, but charge extra for each vehicle and it only does Powertrain. I have Torque Pro, Dash Command, Car Gauge Pro, and now Car Diagnostic Pro - all Bluetooth OBD2 apps for Android and each has it's advantages/disasvantages. For Windows I have Scan XL Pro and HP Tuners. Then I have a handheld scanner - a Vident I-Link400 that does it all on all my GM vehicles (but I hate to pull it out unless I have to).

If I could only have one, it would be the Vident.
If I could have three, it would be the Vident, Torque Pro, Car Diagnostic Pro.

I'd love to get into HP Tuners, but I'll probably wait on that until I eventually get into a 5.3 swap and roll that into the cost of the swap...

I have a VCX Nano that works pretty well with the Tech2Win application, but was a pain in the **** to get working and it's still pretty finicky lol

Do it now, you won’t regret it. I bought mine due to my cam swap, but even if you’ve got stock internals it will still be well worth it.
