I'm from Michigan. Also do snow removal so I'm always drivin when there's fresh salt down. I bedlined my rockers and bumpers, but forgot to do the back side of the rockers. The rust is just starting though. I can probably save it. I hope.

I usually hose down the undercarriage with used motor oil in a paint sprayer. Slows down the inevitable quite a bit.

i im planning on replacing the rocker and LMC finally is selling rocker for 4doors (thank god!!) and when i do that im goina two tone it (bottoms goina be black) and the rockers will be box linered all the way around the outside and inside of the rocker and up to the bottom of the body and maybe alittle on the body too...just to be safe lol

Sweet Jesus! it rusted through that fast?!
I live in Wisconsin, so i took precautionary measures and bedlined the rockers, and por-15'ed the entire undercarriage, ie: back of rockers, wheel wells, body, frame,.. yada yada.. And i'll freak if i see even a speck of rust, I'm obsessive when it comes to that.

ya granted the body has over 255k....so its not that bad...but...its still is pretty bad lol now i have to choose keep the running boards on or take em off...i have a feeling if i take them off it will look horrible...but the running boards are possibly part of the problem lol

Yeah they tend to trap all the salt, sand, & moisture and just hold it next to the paint. Seen that on just about every vehicle with them. Not much you can do ... besides maybe dousing the contact points with used motor oil, or washing them every single day. Just don't get any on the steps for obvious reasons ...
