I have the drop gate on mine, and I have seen the lift gate option as well and I honestly prefer mine over the other due to conveinence. Also mine is a ls model.

 

Both my '87 and the '93 have the tailgate. The '00 has the liftgate and wish it was the tailgate.

 

i love the tail gate on mine, sure the lift gate is nice but i prefer my tail gate.

 

I have a drop gate, i've seen liftgates aroundtown, but i prefer the drop. The only thing I miss is that I don't have a rear wiper, would be a little helpful this time of year, but i'll live lol

Mine is the glass goes up, bottom part lays down like a tailgate, so that is a Drop Gate?

Mine also has the wipers on the rear. It's an LT model. I didn't realize they had it where the bottom would drop down until I saw mine.

I love the tailgate, makes a nice seating area.

 

join the club, blazers are known for rear wiper issues of stripping off or breaking, ive gone without a rear wiper for a while now, buy a bottle of rainX and keep it on your back window as much as possible. helps alot with rain and snow.

 

I don't know if this is a Canadian thing but on my brother in-laws 03 Jimmy he has both , you can open up the whole hatch as one unit or you can then open the window and drop the tail gate , I never seen that before

 

Mine has just the typical option of just opening the rear glass up or opening the whole tailgate up.
