do blazers commonly leak oil on the oil pan seal?
I have a 96 blazer and i think its leaking oil from the oil pan. ive looked there and found oil around the pan and leaking by the oil plug. do they common leak there and how much does it cost to replace the seal?
not sure if its a common problem but the gaskets arnt to spenty and its easy to replace

eh, pretty much common for every vehicle to leak from there when they get older its kinda a big job cause theres stuff in the way. on a 4x4 you have to remove the front differential. 2wd you have to pull the engine? i think you can just lift the engine up really high and change it though
There is an old saying about Chevy small blocks (which the 4.3 is just missing two cylinders) "If they ain't leaking or burning a little oil there about to blow." My 97 Blazer 4x4 leaked & burned oil about a half a quart every 1000 miles. But oil was cheap & it ran & ran & ran. I beat that poor Blazer. I sold it & it is still running.
I have a very minor leak @ the CPS. I won't fix it because of what I stated above.
