You know what, I always found it odd, but never mentioned it, and have never had a complaint about it. It makes a handy hanger for small stuff, and you can wedge a bad of sunflower seeds/jerkey in there when you are out in the woods.

It's funny you mention those doppey *** pillar handles those Alex. I dispise those stupid things. But the dash ahndle is mostly overlooked by me... guess I'm a Blazer snob now

With $ anything is possible, just a matter of how much you are willing to undertake... *wipes brow*

the way i see it is this: in 95 they pulled the sheet off of the 2 gen... 3 years later, they unveiled the new(er) interior stylings without changing body stuffs (aside from small changes and a nose job, rear bumper, etc). SO you should have the same inside just with older gear. in therory

i'd imagine it has been done or at least started before.... worth a trip down memory (search) lane....

It is possible to swap the dash, but the issue is rewiring for the newer gauge cluster. There's a member on s10forum who has done this swap (orangesonoma) who has a bagged 4dr blazer. But he still hasn't got his gauge cluster to work properly.

old 95-97 dash

newer 98+ dash

My handle houses a big fluffy set of dice right now lmao.

I've only ever had one person mention the handle and he was a total anti-chev guy... total Dodge Man, if Chrysler ever went under, I think he'd off himself.

Anyway he needed a ride, and started making fun of the fact I had a Blazer, and after pointing out that I wasted money on my CAI and adding tow hooks I told him it was to make it easier for me to pull his Dodge out of the ditch. He didn't like this, nor did he like it when I told him the handle was for him to haul his fat Mopar *** into the truck when he started getting stupid about that too.

When he told me to go self-reproduce I said "Hey, the door hinge sounded kinda squeaky, can you shut the door and open it back up?" as I leaned over, he shut the door, I locked it and drove away. He never made fun of my truck again lmao... Actually he hasn't really spoken to me either since then... Another blessing.

Oh, and Fuzzy Dice!

It gets a laugh when people get in.
