Anyone had this issue? Any ideas on fix?

I took mine to a body shop for repairs as I don't own a mig welder.

How good are you at welding? Mine is doing the same. Needs new hinges, and that striker plate fixed

How much did body shop run?
My neighbor is a welder and can weld for me I assume I would have to strip paint in section and cut out the section then have a small plate welded back on
This piece is referred to as “door catch” I’ve been trying to find more info on it but came seem to find any
** meant “is this piece referred to as “door catch”” not sure if it is the proper name

I had it done a few years back and don't remember how much it was. Had them do the hinge pins on the driver's side at the same time.

After further researching I realized you named it as striker plate and found some info on it here is one of the videos I watched and the route I’ll be taking

I had this done a few months ago. Shop charged me $900 parts and labor for rewelding, repinning, and repainting.
