your Mass air flow sensor could be clogged, have you taken a look at it to make sure the electrical connector is tight on there?

also is your MPG gone down noticeably?

Yea thats not good. ..even for these trucks...id take it off and you can try cleaning it with MAF Sensor cleaner....if not you may have to replace it...never had mine go yet...."knock on wood" but thats what it sounds like. Check your air filter to make sure its not dirty

check amazon for the oem part. they always seem to be the cheapest on oem ac delco/ delphi parts. it saved me over 200 for a fuel pump. also rock auto is good. if you had to, local parts stores may have it, for a price

what year truck do you have? 4wd or 2wd? and 4 or 2 door? when you get a chance you should make a signature i believe in user CP with all your trucks info. i saw a reman'd on amazon for 140. idk if thats good or bad i know they are over 100.

Could be the MAF. My old blazer did the same thing. Started as a 'MAF out of range' code. Cleaned it, no change. Then the trans started slipping and threw code for EGR Valve defective. After changing the tranny, MAF and EGR Valve it was still messing up. Found to be the Cat was screwed.
