After replacing the retainer clips for the light housings they are angled strangely. not quite sure whats going on, wont be able to get (good) pics until wednesday. but i can fit a finger under the bottom edge of the housings now and it looks really weird.
Sometimes if you dont make sure the bottom peg is in, then it will sit on the rad wall, and the top peg will slid in allowing you to put the retaining clip. Happens to me all the time..

i thought there were only two pegs for each retainer clip?
Pictures as promised - since im going to be removing the lenses fully to replace the signal/fog assemblies with single-piece units i ordered i'll have more time to mess with it, but i cant see why they're doing this.
I see now, it just seem like the holes on the rad frame are too high. I will have to pull apart the wifes sonoma to compare hole alignments. Shes out at the moment. Hopefully will remember when she gets home.
Figured it out, it turns out the latch pegs on my headlamp housings, which i believe to be OE Were canted off enough that the bottom retainer tabs not being inserrted does not prevent you from fully clipping the housings in, reset the bottom tabs into the core support while i was replacing the Fog/Turnsignal housings and now its solid. headlamps dont jiggle anymore either.
