I'm glad I bought the spring compressor! It would have been impossible to get it back in without it.

Yup, the spring compressor makes it a straight forward replacement!

It's not a bad fix at all. Getting the new bushings in was the hardest part. I made a 'screw press' out of a 7/16 bolt and nutthree flat washersand a 14mm socket and pressed them in with that.
I had my dad and girlfriendhelping me. Shebalanced the doorwhile Dad and I fixed it.

I finally installed mine on Thursday. It's strange now... I still anticipate the door dropping when I open it and lifting up when I shut it. I lucked out cause there was no egging.

It's one of those things that makes you wonder why it took so long to get around to doing.

Passenger side doesn't need it, yet. I will take care of it soon cause I can see the bushings are starting to go.

Wasn't hard to do at all. I'm gonna be sure to keep them well lubed from now on!
