Yeah, I just have mine in the back cargo area. Its probably a little far away if I needed quick access to it though.[&:]

I have mine and a maglite mounted on the cargo cover in my 4dr. It works great there. I have used it once, and bought a replacement one since a campfire got a little out of control. Mainly its there to help others out, for camping/other general uses, and for looks.

 

hey lenny, how do you have those mounted, is it a certain bracket that someone makes to hold a maglite and extinguisher?

 

I have this fire extingusher which comes with a mount like below. It comes with velcro just to attach to the carpet, but it rolls around a lot, so I peeled the velcro off and put screws thru the mount holes, with some double side foam adhesive tape between, straight into the cargo cover housing. This came with my old car, then I moved it to the blazer, used one and went to walmart and bought a new one (I think it was about $15-$20) which came with a new mount, but i just used the old one.


For the Maglite mount, I bought these off of Amazon.com and secured them using the same method as above. Double sided sticky foam tape to align it, and then 2 screws for each mount into the cargo cover housing.

I had the same maglite mounts, but they snapped[:@]. So I tried to repair, and they snapped again[:@][:@]. So I bought some QuickFists, and those little guys are amazing. Strongly reccomend 'em!

 

Were do you get the quickfists??

 

I got 'em a while back from End of the Road inc because I had yet to discover Synergy Offroad [&:]. Jigg stocks em so go with him!
