Fix mine up or get a ZR2?

The Tahoe is a 97 with 190,000 miles. The Blazer is a 01 with 140,000 miles. the price is the same. I just don't want a huge money pit. My fear with the Tahoe is everything will cost more to fix. The 3 S series I have basicly han no major problems with. But I do read horor stories of some people with nothing but problems.

I like both but what would you pick?

If you're going with an off-road trail rig I'd go with the ZR2 Blazer myself. I kinda like the army green, the ZR2 starts you off in a better position for bigger tires and such than a standard Blazer, and most Blazer parts are interchangable. The only reason I haven't moved to a ZR2 myself is that it doesn't have 3 seatbelts in the back.

Nothing real serious on the offroad. Just something to take the dogs out in the woods and have some fun.

You've got to go with the blazer over the tahoe. 190k on a tahoe? Even if they had the same miles I would get the blazer at the same price due to the 4 year difference. Maybe i just have a soft spot for blazers.

I bought it. It's really nice except for a little body damage I didn't see in picture. Main thing I need to find a replacement flare. But I really like it and I'm a lot more movitated to mess with this one. I'll post some pictures soon.

Wonder how my Z28 rims would look on this one?

Is the whole zr2 wider or is it just axle, a arms and flair moldings.

One thing that seems funny to me is guys get blazers over tahoes, then get roof baskets and tailgate mounted spares.
