Have a 94 SL and have done a pile of stuff to it. i.e. new fuel pump, ,oil lines, egr valve, screen gasket, heater blower, power window motor, $1800 recently at the garage for analysis, servicing, etc. etc. etc. Got it home and ran it for about an hour and threw a rod.
Interior is excellent and other than the rod, it is in great running shape. Body has some rust .
I'm out of patience and can't justify spending $3000 plus for a rebuilt engine.
Any ideas on what I should be asking for?

yes, ask who the hell is going to charge you $3000 for the engine? i got one with 80k miles on it INSTALLED for $1800.
there must have been a LOT going on in the etc, etc, etc portion if you paid $1800 for inspection service and....
what else did you do?
a 94 LS running with a few problems goes for $500 - $1500 i would say. with a blown engine.... you could probably get more by parting it out over kijijijijijijijijijijij or what ever you guys have in canada IMO
ALSO: worst title for a thread....
