Default Fuel pump issue

I own a 99 chery blazer. Stopped at the store, came out, and the car wouldn't start. Seems like a fuel pump. I did notice that my oil pressure gauge wasn't moving, would this have something to do with the relay? Help is needed, it's 750 for a new pump, but if it's something simple, that would be great.

more like ~$200, eBay is littered with blazer fuel pumps and there are a ton of brands out there.

Was this before or after the engine would not start? If it was before the starting problem, then that would bethe much more important issue to resolve. Of course, if the engine is not starting, then the oilgauge won'tread right.
