Fuel pump problem help

Default Fuel pump problem help

I put new fuel in 1999 blazer old sensor been put in it the wires codes orange /black to black /white purple to purple black to black Gray to Gray took another fuse swapped it out for the same number fuse in the box when I went to turn on the key gas gauge went to full then it went to empty on the gauge its rolls over no pressure
This was before i put new pump in this is what happened I was driving down the road the car just shut down like it ran out of gas got it home no pressure

No power to pump swapped out fuse the same no under the hood still no power and I turn the key on the fuel gauge went from full to empty

You got power at the fuel pump relay?

No power at relay hmm you it's the computer because the shut right down quick when I was driving it a friend said it was the pump went bad so I changed it here it could be the computer all this time

Ok tested the Gray on the wire harness still no power test light works I did hook it up to the ground bolt on the fuse box under hood from some reason I touched metal on the car the red light lite up did this with the key off any reason why it lite up and is it the computer dead why no power q

Were you measuring voltage at the plug while someone turned the key?

When you turn the key, the fuel pump is only energized for like two seconds. Once the engine starts, it's energized. But just turning the key on, and then crawling down under there, isn't not gonna show voltage

Yup did all that found two broke wires were someone before me splice two wires together with a wire connector things and broke off the black and gray that's why no power to the pump connector problems should be solved
