Default Got my hoopty back

Well its finally done. My complete rebuild of the trans and engine is finished. I cant really romp on it yet because i have to break in the bearing's. I noticed my trans shifts alot better and my skipping idle is gone.

What I did-

Replaced fuel pump
Rebuild trans with heavy duty sun shell
Rebuild engine with heavy duty bearings, dropped in a rolling thunder camshatf and lifter kit from edelbrock and also did a nice polish job on the crank. We inspected everything else and there was very little wear on everything so I guess I havent been driving my car as hard as I thought I was.

Also got a new odyssey battery for 150 bucks. I've heard its way better than the yellow top optima. Also got another 2000 watt digital amp cause I melted my other one.

This little spending spree set me back around 3500 bucks but I think it will be worth it.

Congrats man! Definitely nice to get it back on the road after repairs. Didn't take too terrible long.

Also glad to hear that you didn't find much wear. That's always good to open up a motor and not find a bunch of issues.

Well I took it to my buddy's shop and he had a guy from GM down there helping me out. I took a week off work and we worked on it from 10 to 7 every day for 7 days. Plus we had the ultimate set of tools.
