Hey guys, I got a 99 4dr blazer with a sunroof in it... anyways I Do alot of hunting here in florida and I really Need a place to keep my gun thats easy to get to when im rollin threw the woods with a passenger... has anyone ever done a roof mounted gun rack in these trucks? My old truck was a 93 k1500 i would just throw it barrel down in the middle floor board, but with the s10 bein a little smaller i was really thinking roof, im not worried about it covering up my sun roof at all... if anyone has seen a truck with one or built one let me know with an overview! Thanks!

I have seen custom panels for other vehicles for overhead area where the drop down visors are

I can't remember the company name but they make a sling style holder that hangs from the back of the driver and passenger seat.

 

Cabelas sells an "Overhead Gun Rack" made by Big Sky Racks that might work for you. I don't know how the sunroof in a Blazer is set up, but I've seen the one-gun rack installed forward near the visors in other vehicles.

 

I've yet to find any gun rack that will work in our Blazers, and I've looked high and low over the years. I've had more than a few vendors say it "should" work, providing I pay up front.
