I wish they would have produced the Shark concept. Then again I wish they would have produced the Hugger concept.

I like the widened rear and even more so a factory v8. Too bad it only wound up being a ugly body kit.

Does anyone know why they didn't produce a v8 version of any of the blazers?

Cost, insurance, safety, epa regs, lack of demand, gas mileage, lazy.

Just think about it.... When you have 4300cc of rompin' stompin' pure horsepower under the hood, just waiting to be turned loose, who needs a V8?

ZaBlazer99 01-18-2013 05:39 PM

I guess that's true. Haha I've just always wondered why that wasn't a thing.

Yeah, nothing like having 2/3rds of a real engine that has such bad balance problems they had to spend more time retrofitting to keep it from shaking apart. Instead of riding SBC coat tails they could have designed it to run and actually get good mileage compared to its displacement like they done on some of their real v6s that were designed from the ground up. There's a reason why GM has distanced theirself from 90 degree v6s in anything made for power, economy, and reliability.
