I actually ordered those braces in for 60 dollars at my gm dealer. There isn't much of a way to get them to fit in to the panel, I have mine all hacked up trying to manouver them in and they wouldn't fit.

Here's when I finished cleaning it up before fall. Right now I have my stock rims painted black on it. I also turned down my torsion bars and took out my over-load shocks. I still get crappy mileage so... I forsee a body lift this spring.

A few guys do, a few guys don't. From the factory on the 2drs they are only mounted to the outside skin. That's how I mounted mine, and have had no issues with a 35" tire hanging from it.

Although I have had my 2000 4 dr 4X4 Blazer LS for about a year now, and haven't put a single mile on it, I am proud to say I just bought a spare tire carrier. There is a lot going on with fixing our house to move in, and such, but I have slowly started putting stuff together to get this done and on the road. It runs fine, and the tire carrier is one of the first I wanted to do. Thanks for all the info.

Diaita, you can't see out of your back window right? lol.

And if it can hold a 35 on the back without doing any damage, it can hold virtually anything you throw at it. I highly doubt many people will go bigger than 35s.
