Default Haynes vs Chilterns

I think it is about time to buy a manual for my truck but.... Right hand drive aside, I've heard that Chilterns is a better manual than the Haynes. True or false?

All we have available here is the Haynes (@ 100 kiwi $).I have checked on e-bay & can't find any manuals, Haynes or Chilterns- new or used. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

If Chilterns is the better, then where can I get one?

They both have their strengths and mostly weaknesses (speaking of both the Haynes and Chiltons).

The largest weakness, they try to bundle too much into a single book. They hit the high points, but lack substance when it comes to newer vehicles.

The best reference to have is the factory service manuals. Here are a few eBay auctions for your year:
Auction 1 - BIN $79.91USD ($8.00USD S&H - no international options stated)
Auction 2 - Currently $15.51USD ($15USD S&H - no international options stated) w/ 3 bids
Auction 3 - BIN $129USD ($42USD for international S&H)

AllDataDIY.com is also a pretty good resource, but I do not know its availability in your location.

PM me if I can help with any of the auctions...

Look on amazon.com I recently picked up both manuals, chilton & hanynes, and another engine rebuilding book for $30 USD shipped. They were running a deal where one of the manuals was $2 new. It is the best place to find books.

Forget them both and get your hands on the factory service manuals. There is absolutely no comparison.

Thanks for that guy's.

Kyle, thanks for the links, the 1st one has shipping to New Zealand @ 48.95 US.

I'll just check with the "boss" & then put in the bid.

Cheers.
