Default ZR2 Suspensions

So if the ZR2’s are 2 inches higher then the non ZR2’s and the rear springs are how Chevy lifted the rear how was the front lifted? Torsion bars keys? Question 2 the ZR2 is 4ish inches wider how was the front made wider? Wheels? Thanks in advance.

The mounting locations for the rear leafs where extended, the front mounting for the control arms are in different locations, and control arms are bigger.

I believe lol.

Like DonL said, The ZR2 frame is different. The front hanger on the rear leaf is much larger putting the spring pack lower, and the front control arm locations are lower on the frame, and have bump-out spacers to make the truck wider. I believe the leaf spring packs are the same length, but the eyes on the end are slightly different and there may be a difference where the pin hole is on the ZR2 vs non-ZR2.

I'll disagree with DonL on one point though, in that I'm 99% sure that the only difference between the control arms is the sway bar mount, which is for sure different between the ZR2 and non-ZR2. I'm almost certain that both the upper and the lower arms are the same length and geometry.

I Always wanted a 2dr 2wd blazer and I got this one with a blown engine for $200.00 And so that started it.
I will do a build thread I guess most people don’t seem to have much of a sense of humor about going 4wd to 2wd, I’ve gotten allot of slack about it on other forums but its mine and no one is paying for it but me so what The hell. Lol
