Question History of GMC Jimmy-Blazer Styles

Hey everyone! I'm new to this site, so please excuse my ignorance. I'm searching for information on distinct body styles of the GMC Jimmy (over the years) and also the Blazer, in the 1982-1994 range. I want to know what nuances changed over the years and I'm having a hard time trying to track this information down.

Does someone have references (with photos) or vivid descriptions/websites so that I can educate myself? For example, I know the body style on the model I like ended in 1994, but what was the first year for that particular style? Was it 1982? Which years are parts compatible? How similar is a Blazer/Jimmy of this era,(1982-94)?

Any and all information appreciated.
Thanks!
Ryan

Welcome to the forum. The s10 pickup was introduced in 1982. The blazer followed in 1983. LMC truck parts has small history of the s 10 platform and options for each year at the front of their catalog. You can view it at their website. No photos though but a google image search for the options on the list should get you there.

Chevrolet first presented the full size Blazer in the 1970 model year.
