Angry Noisey squeeky inside spare tire rack ?

After all the work I've done on my K5 Blazer, The spare tire rack makes so much noise I can't hear the $1800.00 audio system I had installed. I took the spare tire off, ordered from LMC a new set of the bolts that hold the rack to the floor and wheel well and chased the threads with a tap so their clean, I painted the old rack after making sure it wasn't cracked anywhere.

I cut out of a old milk jug new plastic gaskets for the 3 feet of the rack and used Loctite 242 Blue thread-locker on the new bolts threads and put it all back together, waited 24 hours like the instructions said to do and then put the whole thing back together. It's much better, but it's still kinda aggravating. The whole tailgate has been repainted and the interior is in excellent condition looks like new with a shampoo and wash.

Anyone else crossed this bridge ?

The only thing you can do is figure out what part exactly is squeaking and then go from there.

Yes, and thank you. I have to admit, with what I've already done, the squeaky spare tire rack is 80% fixed, and it is just my opinion that if GM had included one more leg to the rack, this wouldn't even be a problem. But I have one more trick I'm going to try and I'm hoping that will finish off the last or the noise.

Hope you get it figured out. Have had to deal with that in the first gen s-series. Drove me insane.
