Default how common is air injection?

I just did all the RPO codes on my blazer today and according to them it does not have air injection. But everytime I look on here everyone is saying that theirs either has it or is asking how to find out if they have it. So I was just curious how common it is.

I mean is my blazer rare because it doesn't have it? lol

Also according to my codes, it has a high output motor? So does everything 2000 and up have this or just some?

Default RE: how common is air injection?

I dont have one, it seems like something that alot of people dont have. Its basically for emissions. I guess when they test your car and the cat cant clean it well enough the decide to add a "pre cat" like i have or an air injection pump to help burn up exhaust gases.
