This can be repaired by using a conductive epoxy such as Permatex 21351 Rear Window Defogger Tab Adhesive. I haven't used 21351 personally, but I have used the Permatex 15067 Quick Grid Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit on my old '00 Bravada defroster grid & my current '04 Tahoe grid with good results on both.

That also is a good fix and probably the easiest and least labor involved though he may not (or may) be able to get ahold of that in Aussie land they got vegamite don't ya know...

Kyle, now that you mention it, some time back my rear view mirror fell off & the windscreen repair guys fixed it back. Maybe they can do this too? I'll also give them a call.

The lift kit...really it does have one! Is just a process of transfering balast (fuel, water Etc.) from front to back that way it can ram up on the ice then the balast gets transfered back to the front then with the weight it breaks the ice. The nose comes up about 6+ feet and the whole process is noisy for days on end....

 

OK Guys. Foiund the Permatex 21351 at the local Supercheap Auto store. Cost $25.59 incl.gst ( US$21.34 ) FYI.

Now I need a warm day to do the job. Says to do it between 10 & 24 deg. Temperatures here currently in single digits or just touching double figures. I'm off to Aussie on Saturday so this'll keep till I get back. By then spring will be well on the way
