2. 2000
3. 4dr
4. 4x4
5. Synthetic
6. Every 6 months or 5000km [which ever comes 1st]
7. no 64,000km
8. no 64,000km
9. Do my own maintenance
10. 4 hrs every 6 months for fluids + fluid checks at petrol fill up & every 6months we have to take them for a WOF [warrent of fitness] check [brakes, lights, tyres, rust steering, balljoints etc] costs $40.00.
Maintaining any vehicle you own should be a must, a few dollars now will save you alot later on. Last vehicle I had before my blazer gave me 13 years problem free driving.

Just by looking at this, without any statistical analysis, if this is represenative of all Blazer owners, it is more likely to have a "healthy" Blazer than an "unhealthy" Blazer. That is exactly what I thought. If you see anyone in the forum complain about how much their Blazer is a pain to own, direct them here. I'd like to have 30 different people post their answers so I could really start to have a good statistical picture. Thanks!

Regards,

Thomas

So far just the normal issues, IE : Fuel sender / pump, Door hinge pins, Seat adjust levers. Yes I feel my Blazer is worth the maintenance, All cars require attention, My Blazer has no more issues than my Acura did, maybe less.

10. Please describe how much maintenance you have to do and whether or not you think your Blazer is worth maintaining. Just the typical fluid changes, BUT it does seem like it requires more higher cost repairs then it should. It also creaks and rattle uncontrollably. I will be selling it soon hopefully.

10. Please describe how much maintenance you have to do and whether or not you think your Blazer is worth maintaining. I have done all of the maintenance so far which has been replace entire front end: fenders, hood, radiator/condensor, supports, vacuum lines, plugs, wires, cap, rotor ( she was in an accident and it was all apart making life easy got $4200 from the insurance co for a total loss... fully repaired for $650 ($450 front nose $200 misc parts, EVERY auto shop wanted $5000 ...lmao), heater core, vent solenoid, upper and lower ball joints, front shocks, (working on fuel pump right now), rear window wiper motor, replace rear window washer lines, front and rear washer pumps, driver power window motor, water pump, also working on encoder motor while shes down, new gas cap, TBD replace front power seat, dynamat... with that being said this all happens at random times.. it is a comparitively cheap vehicle for parts. with its few pricey parts.( fuel pump, encoder) the labor is what kills you on cost for these things...if you do your own you will save thousands ...

ALL in ALL I want her jimmy she can have my intrepid...lol this is DEFINATELY worth maintaining..

10. I have to do barely any maintenance, just oil changes and cleaning it out every once in a while. Never had a problem with it, totally worth maintaining and keeping.

1. no bought in June 09
2. 1984
3. 2dr
4. 2wd
5. Castrol GTX
6. every 3 months
7. none, miles unknown
8. one, guy i bought it from paid for a brand new one and we installed it. miles: unknown
9. yes
10. Well, I had to replace a bunch of suspension parts but that is probably due to the car being 25 years old other than that nothing more than the normal maintenance.
It sure beats having to pay payments on a new car that's for sure.
Also, the reason I stated the mileage was unknown was at some point and time some idiot tried to roll back the odometer and ended up breaking it.

1. No, bought Sept. 23 2009 w/ ~122,400 mi
2. 1999
3. 4 Door
4. 4x4
5. No
6. I go by time because I drive mostly in town (@ ~2,000 right now and due)
7. 0 replacements = 126,500 mi
8. ditto # 7
9. Will start to (oil changes, spark plugs), don't trust people working on my vehicles but I can only do simple things. Last place I took the Blazer to overfilled the oil by half a quart, which may not hurt it, but it bothered me so I took it back and they drained some. Anything in maintaining the looks, I do myself. Just ask anyone I know
10. I have had the intake gaskets, upper and lower ball joints, and the LF wheel speed sensor replaced (I bought it with the first two bad), and will have the A/C charged next week (fingers crossed that it works). I try to keep it looking nice cause I love the color but retarded people and going to college keep working against my Blazer (many new scratches and several dents)
I love my Blazer, has everything I could have wanted and nothing I didn't want in a great color. Definitely worth it
