Almost 193,000 on the '96 Blazer. As for the wife's '01 Jimmy -- it's over 110,000, but not sure exactly how much.

140,000 on my 99 Tblazer, had it for a week now. Engine sounds very quiet, no valve train noise at all.

Some drive-line rumble above 60, sounds like my Scout in 2wd with the hubs locked in. Gonna take a look at the u-joints next Saturday.

This is my tenth 4wd, everything from a 63 Scout to a 04 Touareg V8. All in all I really like this Blazer. The Auto Transfer Case is a tad too electronic, and currently on the fritz. Wish it was just old-fashioned levers and hubs, but hey, projects can be fun. And I know once it get it sorted out I will appreciate "electronic" when it turns into a blizzard outside and I need 4wd NOW.

334,xxx.

Bought it 2nd hand at 330xxx or so.

I'm going to treat her well, & make it mint.

Original engine & tranny. New radial tires, & I've just removed the back seats for cleaning. Ball joints & u joints needed replacing.
Going to rust-proof soon, since it gets salty on all of our roads.

Black on gray, ls 96.

I have ideas for reupolstering, but will shampoo wash the interior first. If that doesn't fair too well, I'll be placing in a new vinyl carpet or other by springtime.

Any ideas?

I'll get you a nice pic of the odometer reading tomorrow.

I'm going to start a progress thread one day, and would love to hear input from everyone else. It'd be nice to hear from others who can bring a little something to the table. There's lots I haven't thought about, but want to make this mine.

I srsly think mine tops the mileage count. I'm not sure what sort of repairs were done before hand, but I'm going to go all out, piece by piece.

HAH! got you beat on that, just picked up another one with 498+K showing on the clock. has some electrical issues (some tool screwed the electrical in it when he installed the plow). truck is rough as hell, but runs and moves under it's own power.

ls96, congrats, dude, on getting your ride. Let me know what you're going to do for rust-proofing. My '99 (140,000 miles) has severe rust on the frame and everything under the body. The body on the outside "looks" nice but was repainted recently so who knows...

Anyway, I want to do something about cleaning up and rust-proofing the underside, to protect my baby from the northern Pennsylvania salt roads in the winter. Let me know what you decide to do.

Thanks!
