98 4.3 4x4 4door, stock and original everything 198,000. some rust creeping in, not as much power as when i bought her at 120,000 but still getting in the neighborhood of twenty mpg using the odometer/gallons trick.

98 all original with 198k getting 20mpg? Wow. How did you do it? Any signs of mechanical problems with all those miles or does it still run like new?

I haven't really done anything special. Recent plugs and wires, air filter, dist cap, etc. No signs of mech damage, just small body rust issues slowly growing into problems. Never gone over 3200 between oil changes, EVER. Done all other scheduled maintenance early, sometimes ate ramen noodles for weeks on end just to afford trans flushes. Best truck ever, but I don't have tons of cred, im only 19. I live in the sticks so all travel is long and at 55 or 65, depending on alarm clock effectiveness. OH, did rust through a brake line recently, driving through the surf can really screw stuff up. Intake manifold gasket at about 180,000. So yeah, nothing major. Trying now to get the damn a/c working again. Im ignoring the rust because i figure that i won't revive the truck when it finally does die, knock on wood, and stuff probably wont starting rusting away by then.

293,000k on a 96 Blazer. Starting to leak coolant for the top of the engine though.
