For the misfire, take a look at your distributor cap. The metal prong for cyl 1 might be messed up. If it is the distributor cap, then it shouldn't cost more than $40 for the part. If you still have a misfire, I'd have the distributor itself checked. After that...I'm not sure. lol Hope this helps you.

2001 4dr 4x4, 199k.... I got it this way
As far as I know it's mostly highway miles but still a lot
However the engine is still rock solid and I just gave it a tuneup with platinum plugs and all new ignition parts, went inside and changed all the lifters - two stuck and caused a cold start tick. Cams seem OK. New belt, new gaskets obviously, premium filters, ... I don't know if it will have any negative repercussions but I used synthetic oil at the change. I will be very meticulous in maintaining it and hope it'll go on for another 50k at least... but like I say until this engine is locked up for good or it becomes illegal to use in the (distant) future I'll just be repairing it

I have a 1995 S10 Blazer 4x4 LT with 240,016 miles on the same engine, having fuel issues right now, was running fine Friday night, Saturday morning start but ran rough, drove 100 yards & died, would not restart right away, waited 2 hours, it started but would not idle, went from 3000 rpm back down to under 1000 rpm before having to give it more gas til it finally just died after about 5 minutes of this, now it won't turn over at all, sounds like it's out of gas but has 3/4's of a tank, already has new fuel pump, filter, spark plus & wires, any help would be greatly appreciated.
