Both cases are uncontrolled releases of hydrogen. That's a worst case. An uncontrolled release of gasoline in a fire would do the same thing..

As long as you know what you are doing...i wouldn't let anyone discourage you from tinkering....one day you might have the answer we are all looking for...some of the best break through's in technology started in someones garage!

The outcome is:
No work,
No money,
No Hydrogen!

I am following this one guy's build on the CF and it looks pretty convincing the way he is doing it.
Its 160 posts long right now...lol

I found a little setup online that is a self contained unit with zinc grating to activate the electrolysis. Comes with a replacement zinc plate, and puts out 1.7 liters/min of pure hydrogen. Has a vent cap and everything to discharge O2...annnddd it simply wires up to the battery, and pipes to the intake behind the MAF.

Lost think link though...i'll see if I can find it.

Haha yea I guess...I found it during accounting class...so I was just clicking around
But they did promise the whole 'double your mileage' thing...which makes me that much more skeptical.

I think they should drop all the stupid crap in high school chemistry classes and start experimenting with hydrogen and attempting to find an alternative source for fuel, then our tax dollars will be good at work and kids will actually learn something usefull in school
