Anyone have experience with the Hypertech Power Programmer for Zr-2? Mine is coming in today, and I'm really looking forward to playing with the shift points.

I have one that I forget how old it is. I bought so I could change the tire size to keep the speedo somewhat accurate, but I did do the 93 octane tune along with the shift points. There was somewhat of a noticeable difference, more so in the shift points. Makes towing my camping trailer much better with the tune than not having it on there.

I've never used one on a Blazer but did use one on my 95 Z28. The programmer hung up about 1/2 way through and crashed my computer. Had to send it off to be fixed. So my one and only experience with one sucked. I went with a custom tune from MadZ28. You can do as you please but I'll never will again. Now I'm not saying all are bad but mine was. Just my 2 cents worth.

I can't say that I noticed any improvement with fuel economy or power with mine, but like AJBert I got it more for calibrating for taller tires and firmer shift points, which really improved the drivability of the truck. As long as you go in with realistic expectations, I think it was money well spent.
