I'm new and plz look at the alblum
After many years of wanting another blazer. I got one. I have pics up in the alblum of how it basicly is when I got it. As it sits now. I did put a new radiator cap on. The blazer has a interesting history as I saw it about 1 year ago on criagslist for $400.00. I missed it by one day. The guy said money talks and bs walks. I couldn't find anyone to drive me up that day and pick it up. So when I did the next day it was too late (one town over). Now it has found me for $1,600.00. I know you are like inflation! Well they put some items into it. (I have to take there word about it since they don't have receipts.) Father / Daughter (her first car). She tosed the receipts. The good new is she is getting ride of it because she doesn't think it makes a good girl car. Not because it is a POS. (the dad said if the other problems was fixed. He would have keeped it) Since they got the truck they did a series of fixes. New battery (looks new trying to find date), New Belt, well when they got it. So it has a year worth of driving on it. (from what I could tell this looked normal for wear). New heater core, New fuel pump and filters, new windsheild, and new tires. They say it loose about 1/2 quart of oil while driving it between oil changes. Better than the 83 I had. If it was a quard low. It was time for a oil change. I need to get the engine cleaned out and the upper radiator hose replaced. It collapsed. Once I have more monay I will replace the rest of the hoses. They also point out a leaks on the oil hose to the remote oil filter. (is this normal for a 4.3? It has the filter next to the air filter.) I talked to a mechanic and he said about $60.00 and was normal for that age of truck. When they got the truck there was no keys and the guy had a screw driver for starting it. So all they had done was a new ignition switch put in. I went out last night and purchased new key locks for the front and back. Going to see if I can have them keyed the same. Also need to get a new latch mech for the rear tail gate. The one back there is hashed and the lock is missing. Mechanicly it seems great. Interior seems trashed. (I includ this as switches, locks, door handles(outside door handle), power windows, and rear wiper not working.) Once I get it registered, and a few other items fixed up. I'll take it for my break in trip. 100 mile trip to idaho falls. Needs a good, good carpet shampoo too. They also alread had two wndow motor / mechs to fix the two windows. Though three do not work. The back ones go down but not up. She says if you pull them up and then hold the button. They come up. Any ideas?

wow by the looks of that truck, it got its a$$ handed to it a couple times..i just sold my 94 LT tahoe for 1300 it was nearly MINT *minus sun cracked n weathered seats*(after putting about 2500 into it mech. wise, new tranny, ball joints, belts and some tubes, fuel censor) a couple paint scratches window motors in front were almost shot and a couple paint sploches from work , it looks like it needs a whole hosp ward to administer it some TLC not just a couple nurses. lol its a project...but more than likely well worth it
I'm not worried. Yes it needs tlc. But I'm not worried about the back inside. Sure I'll get panes but in my 83 s10 I had. The back got a little beat up anyway. The carpet needs a good shampoo or a miracle. I think it will clean up nice. So far I only been fighting the tail gate. But it drives nice. So unless something like the motor or tranny blows. I think it was worth it. I added all the other parts up needs to fix it up. About 140.00 bucks worth or so. Worried mostly about the driver side door got hit or something and the rear tail gate is beat up a tad. Faded black paint. But besides that. It is going to be my everyday driver until I get my grand prix up to snuff. Then the blazer will got to secondary status or when it is needed and will always be loved unless I find a major issue with. Just has to last me 3 years I figured for 1,600.
