Default Interchangeable Parts - Blazer/Jimmy

Hi,

I need to find out if the carrier assembly from a 2000 Blazer is interchangeable with a 1999 Jimmy. And do they both have to be 4WD or does that matter? Thank you.

When I have a question about parts compatability, I'll search for the part numbers of mine and the other vehivle to see if they are the same. The HM parts supplies online are a good source for this info.

pretty much everything is swappable, the only thing you need to watch for is axle sizing, spline counts, and gear ratios. as well as the ring and carrier sizing between the 2 different axle sizes offered.
