HI everyone,

I just joined because a week ago I bought a 1994 S15 Jimmy 2wd with 4.3 vortec cpi Vin W.

Thought joining this forum would be a good idea so I can see what other owners are doing when problems pop up.

I have a few.... Water temp gauge is pegged out as is voltmeter. Can not seem to find the problem for either.

Just love this vehicle - its in perfect condition otherwise - SLT model ,..do not know what that means.

Can anyone point me in right direction please? TIA

Can't help with the SLT but you might find info on it at the GM Heritage website. They have sales brochures from "back in the day."

 

SLT Special Luxury Touring -
just a thot - pegged standard gauges might be bad stepper motors in the gauges

 

Might be the temperature sender or a short in the wiring which sends the full voltage to the gauge.
