Knocking sound
There is a knocking sound coming from the engine area.I brought it by the shop they even confirmed it.The oil is over filled and looks liquid like. The knocking only happens when the truck is runs on the freeway. When it's cold no knocking.Any one have ideas what the problem could be help!
The Oil looks like cream and someone overfilled it by a quart or 2 when i purchased her last week.Yes,the engine is a tricky turn over mostly when starting up first time around.Coolant levels are good to me.What are my options I'm going crazy!
oil looking like cream (milk shake you could also say) points me to the head gasket, which is putting coolant in your oil, which can screw up the engine, which would cause the ticking
hard starting could be the injector leaking (fuel pressure test would be needed)
but that could leak raw fuel into your oil, which would also ruin the engine, causing the ticking.
I would not run the truck until you figure this out.
Do you have a photo of the oil?

Brought it by the shop yesterday and they said someone put about 11quarts in the engine. Also they found metal flakes in the oil pan stuck to the plug?Whats the damage on her, what do you think are my options rbuild or boneyard pick?
Depends on the extent of the damage, and where the metal shavings are coming from. I think it would be easier to just find one and slap it in.
and 11 quarts, yikes, I wish I would have seen the color of the oil
