Default Misfire

Hello,

I have 01 LS 76,000 miles. Driving through WV last night my car misfired (service eng light flashed) this is not the first time it has happened. I replaced the gas cap and my spark plugs and wires over the weekend and now I don't have a clue why it misfired. Any ideas?

Ashley, did you have the diagnostic code read? This would help with trying to figure out what the problem is.

Last time I had a misfire in my 01, it turned out to be a bad plug and wire. Just double check all your wires and make sure they are in tight.

If you have not replaced the distributor cap and rotor, this would be the first thing I would do and see if it helps.
