Default Monthly Bills - Insurance, Gas, Repairs, Loan Etc.

Alright how much do you love your blazer? I.E. How much money do you throw at it every month and how much would be to much?

I drop about $148 per month in insurance (miss that s10 with 40 bucks a month)
Loan - Paid Off
Gas - $240 ish per month
Repairs - hmm, under $500 the last year in repairs, customization now thats another story.

So $400 a month ish running costs, repairs here and there, and customization whenever i get around to it really.

since purchase about 2 mths ago...
$700 for the jimmy, plated & taxes
$140 safety/emissions
$160 new gas tank.
$350 new cat. installed by mech.
$300 new lower ball joints.
$30 tranny intercooler & hose/hardware for the PS cooling line leak
$30 spare dummy tire & jack + other assorted small items
$70 new u-joints (all 3 ac delco greasable ones)
$20 new fuel filler neck - WHICH i was told the 99+ filler neck wouldn't fit on my metal 97 tank. that sure as hell turned out to be a total lie BUT u need the entire thing from top to tank.
$10 for a new actuator that i didn't need but still now have as a backup.
$40 for the 4x4 cable - gonna change that regardless
$50 ish maybe for the encoder motor when i grab it in the near future - after i check the codes.
Money saved doing the work myself - easily $2,000 so far.
oh and....
Gas: working - 300+ / not working: 150 or less
ins: $150 ish i believe

so far $2,450 in 2 mths. BUT the end is near on repairs at least and then its just cosmetics....

insurance, hmmm...............don't remember the break down, but i'm paying just under $202/mth for my Blazer, the Regal, and fire/theft/collision on da 'Burb & Dart.

fuel, well that's another story! i'm averaging around 16+ mpg, but with being laid off work again, sometimes i'm only filling up once a week. i'd say, curently, a safe average would be 5 to 6 tanks a month, maybe $400 for the month.

you should see what a monthly fuel bill is when i'm working!

repairs are nothing really. had 'er just over 2 years now......did a complete AC Delco tune up when i first got it (a $100 score on Kijiji), and complete brakes all around to safety it. i'd say i've spent maybe $1100 on it since i've owned it-including BN Winter tires last year.

not bad in my book, considering i've put roughly 80K on it.
