Default Motor Swap Question

I am thinking about putting a different motor in my Blazer and I was wondering how hard would it be to put a 350 in it?

All depends on your mechanical ability, bank account, and how much free time you have - it takes up LOTS of your free time ... and lots of your bank account too. Plenty of V8 kits available out there to make the swap that much easier.

It's a lot of work, but only you can decide if it's all worth it in the end.

Anything is doable if you want it bad enough.

You can use the trans you have now (i remember you having a 4.3 tbi).

You do need special conversion mounts you can get from ebay etc. google em. "s10 v8 mounts"

If you want to stay somewhat cheap, hit up a pull it yourself yard and get a engine for about 300 bucks, gamble with it and install it. get a tbi 350 out of a early 90's truck. You also need to open each computer and get the little black prom chip out and swap them (they adjust fuel trim etc,no need for whole new computer.gm made it simple).

You can use your 4.3 throttle body, just swap injectors from the 350. you can get away with the stock radiator,if its clean and you have a good efan setup. The efan from a mid 90's ford taurus fits almost perfectly. and pulls enough cfm. google the "ford taurus fan swap s10" and find ways of doing it.

I think thats the majority of what needs to be done.
