hi. i recently bought a 2000 Blazer ZR2 and im getting about an average of 15mpg. is this what ill probably get or should i be getting more??? any suggestions would be very helpful. thanks guys

 

Depending on how you drive and the roads/speeds/# of stop signs/hills/etc that you drive... Sounds about right. Lots more information in the Official MPG Poll thread stickied to the top of this section...

 

I believe the ZR2s were only rated at 15mpg city and 19mpg highway. If you were looking for good gas mileage, you bought the wrong vehicle my friend. I have 32/11.50 BFG MTs on my 99 BlaZer2 with 115,000 miles and it gets 14-15mpg city and 18mpg highway. I really thought the mileage would drop off more but sure glad it didn't. I also keep the tire pressure in check religiously, so that helps I'm sure.

 

I have 31 x 10.50s on my ride.. add the roof rack, 4 lights on top and soon the space tire and I am looking at 12 mpg city...
