well i was driving at a friends house and he has some land. so i wanted to see what my top speed was. i was going 95 then the thing felt strang. so i slowed down and check it out. what is that. do these blazers not go 100?. was that the govanor?

i got to 110(gps speed, spedometer maxed out) but then i died till i reached like 80 then resumed to at normal

Most speedo's are quite inaccurate above regular state mandated speeds at the time of release. As most s-series trucks came stock with S (112MPH rated) or T (118MPH rated) speed rated tires, 95MPH seems about right for the speed limiter to kick in.

Due to the inaccuracies mentioned above, you could see speeds over 100 prior to the limiter kicking in.

crazy people driving crazy speeds in unstable vehicles.....doesnt take much to lose control.

i got my 94 up to 105 and didnt notice the govener kicking in at all. this was on the hwy in the early early hrs of the morn so there were no other cars.

ive taken mine up to 90mph but not for long because of my bug deflector up front my hood vibrates and thus shakes the car at 70+

my 94 stops at 90, it could go more but there is a electronic limit.

Most Blazers should be governed at 98 MPH, I think, is the factory spec.
Same as most of the GM trucks as well.

There's the odd factory freak that came out with no governor, but those are usually rare.


The faster you go, the more innaccurate it gets...
